A little away from Bastill there is the 12th district which is one of the most quiet of Paris. Many administrations are located there, with the nearby Bois de Vincennes. You will also find many workshops for cabinetworkers and ironworkers.
The "Coulee verte" or arbored way, starts from the Place de la Bastille – between Lyon street and Charenton street – and goes to the speedway (peripherique) following the former railway line which was used to deliver goods, to the Arsenal port. You will find some monuments such as Bastille Opera, the beautiful Lyon railway station, the Train Bleu restaurant, the French cinematheque, the Palais de la Porte Doree and its great tropical aquarium, the Cite Nationale de l'Immigration, the musee des Arts Forains, Bercy Park and its shops, restaurants, cafes, the Hotel Accor Arena (former Palais Omnisport Paris Bercy), the Financial and Industry ministery.
